Hi! Long time no see.
During summer vacation, I went back to Tokushima which is my hometown, met my old friends, worked part time job, watched movies, ate delicious dishes at my grandmother's house and... I did a lot of things! The best memory is trip to GUAM! I went there with my high school friends. It was first time for me to trip abroad with my friends, so I was really looking forward to making the trip with them, but I was worried a little. It was a tour of HIS(the name of travel agency) which is known for offering us very cheep tour, so the travel expenses was really cheep. They charge 35000 yen three night. It is really cheep, isn't it? I am poor, so the cost was helpful. Of course the hotel rank was worst in Guam and without any meals, but that is not relevant! This trip was sooooo fan!! The people in Guam were so friendly. A man driving a car sounded a horn to us and said 'Hey!!.' If we wave our hands, the local people returned waving their hands with a big smile. We were so happy and we can get positive power from them. We experienced diving. The color of the sea was emerald green(not blue) and so beautiful. When we looked in the sea through goggles, there were a lot of various tropical fish. It was third time for me to experience diving but this time was the best! I think it was becouse the weather was so fine! We enjoyed at beautiful beach for 5 hours. We also went sightseeing around Guam, ate local foods which is colld Chamorro food(so delicious), went shopping, chatted all night with my friends. I had a very good time with them. I felt the people, the cenery, the foods, the air and all things sorrounding Guam were different from Japan. It was good chance for me to feel interculture. I was more interested in other countries than before. I want to make many trips around the world. My English was so bad and I couldn't communicate with local people so I decided study English hard. Someday, I want to trip to Australia!!
Your trip sounds like fun! I'm sure your English was not as bad as you say. What is Chamorro food? Is it one kind of dish, or a word for all local food in Guam? What did you eat? Diving sounds nice! Are you hoping to get a licence someday?

Sophie's nickname is Dako (Dakko?)san, because she loves hugs. Me too. I usually ate vanilla soft cream (my favorite!!) in Hokkaido, but pumpkin soft was tasty as well.
